eBay is making some changes starting this September. In the spirit of partnership, changes that impact your business will be consolidated into two or three major releases a year, with at least two months’advance notice. The full US announcement can be found here here.   Firstly, the changes that will impact our eBay Singapore/Malaysia/Philippines sellers who sell internationally are as follows:   1.Improved service standards ● New DSRs metric to measure the service that sellers deliver. Avoid getting low DSRs ?s and 2s. ● New minimum standards for all sellers with new Selling Practices policy, and optional buyer shipping insurance will no longer be allowed. ● Changes to the PowerSeller programme and introduction of the eBay Top-Rated Seller programme to recognise the best sellers with the highest rewards. ● New Best Match considers impressions and recent sales for fixed price listings, and the new Search Visibility tool to evaluate fixed Price and auction listings in search results.   2.Easier & more profitable selling on eBay ● Faster recourse and resolution For Unpaid Items. ● Expanded eBay dispute resolution process to better address buyer claims. ● Streamlined My Messages and post-transaction emails for improved buyer communication. ● More control over international ship-to locations; ability to upload tracking information for more carriers. ● Faster ways to edit bulk listings, even multi-quantity listings with a sale and listing descriptions.   Secondly, the changes that will impact our domestic eBay Singapore buyers and sellers are as follows:   1.Increased visibility of Store listings and introduction of new store packages ● More search results options available for buyers and changes. ● Increased exposure for Store listings (or SIF listings) in the main eBay search results. ● Enhancements to Best Match, enabling a good mix of relevant fixed price and auction listings. ● Introduction of new Store packages with free insertion fees and free subscription to Selling Manager Pro.   2.Improved service standards ● Changes to the PowerSeller programme. ● Optional buyer shipping insurance will no longer be allowed.   3.Easier & more profitable selling on eBay ● Streamlined My Messages and post-transaction emails for improved   buyer communication. ● More control over international ship-to locations. ● Faster ways to edit bulk listings, even multi-quantity listings with a sale and listing descriptions.   More details:   For Singapore sellers http://pages.ebay.com.sg/Sep2009Update/index.html   For Malaysia sellers http://pages.ebay.com.my/Sep2009Update/index.html   For Philippines sellers http://pages.ebay.ph/Sep2009Update/index.html
